St Paul's Cray

St. Paul's Cray with its original church (Paulinus) was an early Saxon settlement and St. Mary Cray was once known for its "...handsome populous village, whose Market House blew down in the great gale of 1703”.  Some of the original village character still exists to enjoy today. The Cray Valley is believed to contain the oldest geological strata in this part of Bromley. Stone tools from the Neolithic Age have been found all over the area
