Valley road

Is the bed of an of river which runs up in flood years. Last time was 1889 when the river flooded in a torrent.

Valley road stretch to the church from the green was a landway the road at the bottom was called castle hill

Scudders farmhouse. Only local example of pargetting. Scudders local in 1700s.

Court Lodge. 14th timber roof structure. Crown post roof – widely used in Kent.
