Hockeden

Named in 1240 as ‘Hokindenne’- ‘woodland pasture for swine belonging to someone called ‘Hoc’. 

Hockenden Lane

Hockenden House.   18th century farmhouse. Two storeys with weather boarded elevations. Partly used as a day nursery. V2 blast here in December 1944.
