Edgeware

Hamonde Close

Orange Hill School. Middlesex CC. 1965 by D. R. Duncan and D. L. Pelham. Straightforward one- to three- storey curtain-walled buildings on a concrete frame. Built as a girls' grammar school; the last by the MCC before secondary education passed to the new boroughs. Ample practical facilities demonstrated the county's post-war policy that grammar schools should not be purely academic.

Orange Hill Junior High School. 1963-5 by D.R. Duncan of MCC, is also curtain-walled.
